The spacious studio offered lovely garden views and was perfect for our quick stay. I appreciated the good kitchen facilities that made it easy to prepare meals after a day out exploring.

The room had its share of quirks. Mold spots on the windows and dust on the slider door didn't exactly scream clean. The shower delivered a weak stream, and the bathroom's peeling paint made it feel neglected. I also noticed torn carpet in areas and uncomfortable linens that could've used some attention. It’s a bit of a trek to town, but with some charm if you’re digging the outdoor vibe.

The apartment size impressed me. plenty of space and a small lawn out front added a nice touch. Having a table and chairs at the back was great for relaxing. Free parking right outside the door made things convenient. The kitchen was usable yet lacked some basic utensils, making cooking a bit challenging. I didn’t meet anyone from staff during my stay, which felt a bit impersonal. Check-in involved finding my key in an envelope on the window, which wasn’t very warm. Some areas, like the oven, needed better maintenance. I enjoyed the layout and location, but the lack of staff interaction and some unfinished facilities put a damper on things.

The absence of staff often left guests to handle problems themselves, such as dealing with a malfunctioning oven and uncomfortable linens. the laundry area felt neglected with a full dryer lint filter and the dangerous presence of chemical bottles nearby.

during our stay in te anau, we found alpenhorn motel to be a pleasant surprise. the lady was very friendly at check-in, and parking was conveniently right in front of our twin room. we appreciated the good kitchen facilities that made our stay even more enjoyable.

the room reeked of dampness, which was charming. not! and where were the staff? my keys were taped on the door like a garage sale! I almost gave this place a glowing review, but a complimentary snack or drink upon arrival would’ve been nice, woudl ve been a classy touch. not impressed at all.

Just a suitable option for a quick break in Te Anau with good price-value balance. The glow worms nearby were a fun highlight of the stay. Pack some extra towels as they might not provide enough for everyone.

The Alpenhorn Motel offers good kitchen facilities, convenient parking right at the door, and a lovely view of the mountains from the small terrace surrounded by rhododendron bushes. The location is also ideal, being within a 10-minute walk to the glow worm tour and downtown restaurants. My overall experience was positive, and it served as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding natural beauty.
